04 · Week 1 · The brief

First impressions are the whole business.

Fashion World is a salon offering bridal makeup, hair artistry, skin rituals and designer styling. The in-person experience was premium, but the online presence didn't reflect it. A salon lives on first impressions, and the old presence felt dated next to newer competitors. There was no clear way to browse services or book, and nothing online captured the elegance of the salon itself.

A legacy of beauty in the heart of the Himalayas — the salon’s story, with 18+ years of experience and 2 studios in Palampur

08 · Week 1 · The direction

Where Elegance Becomes You.

A refined editorial direction — premium type, calm spacing and imagery that lets the work speak.

14 · Week 2 · Mobile first

The Fashion World site scrolling on a phone

Designed for the phone in her hand.

Every page was designed mobile-first, around the services customers actually search for — bridal makeup, hair artistry, skin rituals and designer rentals.

Where your story takes shape — the services, each with a Book button

20 · Week 2 · One tap to book

From “I love that look” to a conversation — in one tap.

Bookings route straight to WhatsApp, where the salon already talks to its clients. Even the bridal and gown rentals end in an enquiry, not a form.

The UX work

Behind the design

  • From the build — read off the real screens
  • Assumption — to validate with users
  • Planned test

From the build

  1. 01

Each service is a photo card with its own Book button, and each has its own page.

WhyPeople search for one service (“bridal makeup Palampur”), so each needs a page that can be found and booked on its own.

    Services

  2. 02

Book opens a WhatsApp conversation instead of a form.

WhyThe salon already runs on WhatsApp; a conversation also lets the bride ask questions before she commits.

    Every Book button

  3. 03

Rentals live on the site, with each piece one tap from an enquiry.

WhyA bride plans the whole look; keeping the outfit on the same site keeps her there.

    Rentals

  4. 04

The salon’s experience is stated plainly — 18+ years, two studios — near the top.

WhyFor a once-in-a-lifetime booking, trust comes before price.

    Our story

  5. 05

A gallery filtered by type of work (Bridal, Hair, Party, Skin, Nails).

WhyProof matters most when it is the kind of work the visitor needs.
